Cricut Maker - How to Guide

A step by step guide on how to use the Odette Critical Making Studio's Cricut Maker.

Overview

The Cricut Maker available allows for your designs to be printed and cut onto various materials using the many tool options available in studio. Wether it's paper craft cutting or fabric embossing, the Cricut is capable of near endless customizable utilities.

Cricut Maker Basics

The Cricut is capable of performing numerous cut types for different materials. The Odette Studio has a variety of interchangeable blades that can be utilized in the fabrication of projects. Under the Project Design tab, all of the available accessories are listed. 

The Cricut has dual functionality between cutting, as well as printing. The Odette Studio has marker inserts for the machine that enables it to print colour designs onto materials as well as cut them.
 

Software - Cricut Design Space

The Cricut Maker is connected to the Mac on the workbench, Cricut Creative Studio is installed. Utilize the software to generate and fabricate your design.

For MacBook users that are USB-C only, there is a digital multi-port adapter available to connect during use in studio. Available for bluetooth connection as well. Listed as Maker-27EE. 

For iOS, iPadOS and Android mobile devices

Connect to the Cricut Maker via Bluetooth capabillites to continue. Listed as Maker-27EE
