This guide describes the resources and services found in Trent Library's Data Visualization Lab located in Room 402, Thomas J. Bata Library

About the Data Visualization Lab

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purpose

The Data Visualization Lab in Peterborough and the Data Visualization Workstation in Durham are part of the Moore Innovation Hub and are managed by Trent Library Maps, Data & Government Information Centre (MaDGIC). These resources are available for use by registered members of Trent University who require access to spatial and statistical technologies for research or coursework. 

Lab access - Symons Campus

  • Drop-in lab use and support appointments are available during MaDGIC office hours.
  • Evening and weekend access options are available subject to approval from MaDGIC.

Workstation access - Trent Durham GTA Campus

Software Availability

Various spatial, qualitative and quantitative analysis tools are available for use. Note that not all computers will have the same programs installed. Use our software key to find out where specific programs are installed in the lab.

The floor plan of the Data Visualization lab in Bata Library, Symons Campus. Computers are numbed from DV1 to DV12. DV13 is located at the Trent Durham Library and Learning Centre.
