Finding Leveled or Guided Readers

Readers

Leveled or guided readers are typically aimed at young readers. Guided reading is a strategy whereby a teacher works with a small group of students who can all read at similar levels of text. Leveled readers are used that are assigned a level which corresponds to a developmental reading stage. Because they are catalogued as part of the Curriculum Collection, and because we use the Library of Congress System, teacher candidates will not find them all together in a special section. Use the following advanced catalogue search to help locate titles.
