Newspaper Databases

How do you determine if something is a newspaper or popular magazine?

  • Newspapers and popular magazines are written for the general public - not geared to scholars or specialists.
  • Paid writers write the articles - they may (or may not) have expertise in the subject.
  • They're what you see for sale in magazine stores. Scholarly journals and trade publications are usually paid subscriptions for those who have a specific interest.

Business News Websites

Keep in mind that websites in general and business websites specifically all have their bias.  Use the information and opinions accordingly.  These are NOT scholarly sites.

They are listed alphabetically, and not in order of relevance.
